View Full Version : What sort of bonding agent should I use?
Tomataheeed 02-01-2008, 13:31 Well...UPVC, and bonding together two bits of window that have come apart. What sort of bond should I be looking for? A covering strip down the side of the window has come unstuck, and I think I just need to glue it down again, but the glues I have at home specifically say not for use on UPVC - Any ideas what I should be using?
alex3659 02-01-2008, 14:17 thread changed while i was typeing.

How about the chicken chow mein I had at the Chinese takeaway yesterday? I went back to say that the chicken was rubbery and the waiter thanked me for the compliment!

Will silicon glue the thing back on again though? Its not very strong. I want to use some strong glue of some sort, but I'm worried that with my luck I'll end up melting the whole frame, and I'll have a puddle of gooey plastic on the floor...

On a serious note uni bond or evostick contact adhesive should be ok(make sure you check on the tin/pkt)they stick just about owt!

Superglue does melt certain things though

Always a good idea to use vaseline to avoid chafing if you're not used to bondage situations. Just don;t get the vaseline mixed up with the strong superglue!
