As usual we shall have to wait and see. beddoe79 01-01-2008, 14:33 I hope, whenever it decides to snow, that it waits until I get home, as I don't finish work until 10pm every day from tomorrow and I live right at the top of Jenkin Road. Alternatively though, I have just had my ice skates sharpened so if it gets too icy I can skate to work lol. Andy C 01-01-2008, 23:27 Well, here is what the Met Office site is forecasting for the Yorkshire & Humber region over the next few days.. Headline: Becoming drier but colder and staying mostly cloudy. This Evening and Tonight: Remaining generally cloudy with further mostly light rain. The rain turning to sleet or snow over hills by morning as it becomes colder with a freshening southeast wind. Minimum temperature 2 °C. Wednesday: Much colder with a very chilly southeasterly wind. Large amounts of cloud though with a few brighter intervals. Occasional wintry showers giving a light covering of snow over the hills. Maximum temperature 4 °C. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Bitterly cold, windy on Thursday with sleet or snow showers. Still cold on Friday with further sleet or snow in places. Becoming much milder with rain on Saturday. Andy C 01-01-2008, 23:28 Outlook for next week UK Outlook for Sunday 6 Jan 2008 to Tuesday 15 Jan 2008: The period will start with generally unsettled conditions with rain or showers at times, possibly heavy in the north and west, although the south and east may see some clearer spells. Occasional snowfalls may occur in the north and over hills. However, by later in the week (11th January) any snow should have moved away, allowing a somewhat milder west or southwesterly airstream to cover the country. It is likely to be unsettled at times, however, with showers or longer spells of rain, as well as some strong winds. Northwestern parts of the UK will see the most unsettled and windiest weather with the best of the drier, brighter interludes occurring across southeastern parts. These conditions are likely to continue through the remainder of the outlook.
