anybody from pitsmoor out there

Iused to live on ellesmere rd from early 70s till 1982, went to firshill school, left in 72

used to live in the flats.Have a search around the forum there's lots of threads about pitsmoor etc.

I used to live in pitsmoor, from 1955 till about 1975. I went to ellesmere road infants and junior school and lived on grimethorpe road just aboce the normanton Inn

went to firshill and burngreave schools 68-72. lived on grimesthorpe road between tea gardens and normanton. still booze down there was in the normanton last month and gower street over christmas. gown down hill over the last 10 years boozing wise (the pubs not me)

is laycocks jewellers still there ? used to be a fruit shop next door and hairdressers next to that , hair by joanne i think it was called . also the bookies down the lane.

my pals dad jim had the bookies. retired now and bookies closed a few year back.

Born on Lyons street in 58, left to join Royal marines in 75 and now live at Gatwick. Only get back once a year :(

We lived in the old houses opposite the new massionettes on pye bank rd.are u paul?

We used to live on Fox Street in the 70s, had to move because they were pulling our house down & after that Roe lane, Dad still lived there up until 2006,

I lived on Pye Bank rd from 74 to 84. Good times.

I lived on Somerset Street between 1965 and 1975 and went to both Pye Bank and Herries schools.

I lived on Pye Bank Road 1962-1973.Went to pye bank school then Herries.
Great times

Left school 1972.
Left pitsmoor 1974 but went back every weekend to see my parents.Use to go in Highway,Fox and Duck,Loco Club and Pitsmoor Club.
I use to work at Rutland Cutlery 1972-1986.

I didn't live in Pitsmoor but I spent many nights in The Loco Club, Pitsmoor Club, Toll Gate, Bay Horse and Pitsmoor Hotel. Happy memories. (1960's and 70's)
