I was wondering if there are any jewelry makers out there, that might be able to help me with my uni project.

I was wondering if you know the effects that plastic beads and pewter give? Do the melt? its a stupid question i know but if they do melt do they give god patterns? I would make a recess in the die that i would use and putt he beads in it its just knowing wheather it would work or not....or am i better using glass beads?
