Basically, we've got an Acer laptop. Our wireless connection is through our BT Homehub. However, when we sign on, we get a choice to connect to linksys, this happens very rarely though and protected by a code. I've not tried to connect to it, as I don't know why it's there. Also, the strength is very poor.

Its probably someone elses wireless router close by... nothing to worry about, just ignore it.

That's what I thought. Just got me wondering when someone on another thread said they had an Acer with a linksys wireless card. Just wondered, as we had the same make it was something to do with my set up (i.e the fact I'm stupid when it comes to setting things up and it was something I needed to act on).

Can't be all that close as the signal is week and the idiots on my street would struggle to spell www. anyway.

Cheers

LinkSys is a company that manufactures routers, amongst other things.

Like Ghozer says, it'll just be someone else's wireless signal you're seeing. Don't worry.
