Is anybody going to see the spongebob square pants movie later today?

I know it's intended for kids but I want to go see it, I hear in the good ol' US of A a group of anti gay protesters want to ban our sponge friend from tv, apparently he holds the hand of his friend patrick which they are offended by.

I doubt the protests will reach these shores but I just hope i'm not the oldest person in the cinema:suspect:

Contains....
"cartoon rear male nudity, repeatedly"
"suggestion of sadomasochism in transvestism"
"rubbing posteriors together"

Ban this filth!!!

From the report...

"The filmmakers expect us to accept that SpongeBob's round posterior is suited for his square pants. Sort of makes the intent of the filmmakers clear, doesn't it. [**] How do I know SquarePants has a round bottom? I saw it in the movie. And so will your kids if they see it."

A round bottom? In Square pants? Shome Mishtake Shurely?

;-)

There are comedians who'd kill to be able to come up with stuff like that!

Since when did kids have to be protected from the horrible truth that everyone has an a*sehole?

Anyway, I saw an episode last night where Spongebob wiggled his buttocks...and they were square in shape...maybe his pants do shape them and they are curved sans clothing?

I can hear Western Civilisation crumbling as I type...

I find their tirades against most forms of light entertainment offensive and worry that they might turn my kids into right-wing, homophobic nutters...I think their campaigns should be toned down or banned.

Maybe I should start a website from which to peddle my nutty views...as is my democratic right?

Heh heh! Check out the review for Bad Santa.

That guy lasted 8 full minutes before walking out.

I can see that this sight is an endless mine of hilarity.

They don't seem to like the "sexual immorality" of Bend It Like Beckham...but then you can see what lines they go down when the first theme in the film they raise is the fact that the main character's family are Sikhs finding it hard to fit in with English society...most people would have thought the first issue was a woman wanting to play football and the second how cute Parminder Nagra is in those shorts!

The film is never as good as the book though, is it?

I went to see Bad Santa a couple of weeks ago, and here is a content report. The use of profanity is very heavy, with the total probably near 200 uses

Who sits and watches a film counting the number of rude words ?

He has sex with a female bartender numerous times, always while wearing his Santa hat.

:)

I,m taking my daughter to see Spongebob on Saturday morning
and I think we'll both enjoy it. I have no qualms about being the oldest guy in the cinema.
I'm also looking forward to seeing the Magic Roundabout movie.

Hooray! I went to see it yesterday after having been waiting for it's release for 18 months!!! (that's how much of a Spongebob freak I am).

Was excellent, although we were disappointed at the fact that characters like Sandy, Gary the snail, Mrs Puff, Larry the lobster and even Squidward and Mr Krabs were in it....

Man I'm totally showing you my weird side...
