9.04pm 10 february, sheffield police helicopter pursuing triangular lights overhead in upperthorpe,also three military planes just flew past, helicopter now circling

It's been hovering over Longley estate since about 8:30 too, really low down so I could see the leaves rustling in my garden.

triangular lights headed for hillsborough / stanington, any one else seen it ?

over wadsley bridge now can see from bedroom window

I think if ET were really visiting tonight he'd have no problem outrunning the bacon chopper!

Can still see it hovering (the chopper copper that is) over the hillsborough area from my bedroom window in Southey Green. Anyone from that area got any info yet.............

it was an hour ago,my son ran in to get his camera but by the time he had found it the thing had gone,along with the three planes that were behind it

We were watching it circling quite tightly about half an hour ago. Mind you, the cloud base looks fairly low tonight, so whatever you all saw wasn't that far away.

I'm in central Hillsborough. Not heard anything. Wish I had seen this earlier, I would have gone out for a vada!

It was hovering over crookes/ crookesmoor for about half an hour at about 8.30 last night cos I was trying to get babs off to sleep.. did not see any triangular lights or military planes though? anybody know any more on this?

maybe it wasnt the police helicopter he saw, but A helicopter was following a triangular light,then three planes shot past it following the lights,

No it was definatly the police coptor, I went outside to have a look at it after babs refused to go to sleep due to the noise. Although I only stuck my head out of the door I did'nt have a good look round the sky. the helecopter was very low so I did'nt need to look far

My God no wonder we have not had contact with aliens yet. :rolleyes:

Then the police chopper chases it and gives them a speeding fine, before also giving them a parking ticket because they stopped in Longley park! :o

never mind, I'm sure if we wait near the West Bar police station next week the aliens will be returning with their driving licences and insurance details... :hihi:

The aliens were eating an apple while piloting, which would explain the unusual presence of her Maj' constabulary in the mother ship's vicinity.

I don't know about aliens, but I'd be interested to know why the police helicopter was flying around all evening. I first heard it around half eight, and last heard it circle over my house at about half midnight.

From what I heard they were after a couple of 'scallys'. They caught one and were trying to find the other.

Some years ago i was out playing in the street just after dark. I was with a group of friends, and we all saw three lights in the sky- triangular in shape. We watched it for about a minute then it sped off towards Manchester at VERY high speed...we ran to the end of the road where we could see the sky clearer, but it had gone, several seconds later we heard (but didnt see) what we assumed were jet planes also flying off in the same direction......spookay! :suspect:

Me and my family also saw the Police helicopter over Wadsley Bridge at about 20:30hrs, it was flying very fast and very low off in the general direction of Grenoside.

The police helicopter has just finished doing about six circuits around our area, identical circuits to what it did last night. Very low, and very fast. Weird!!!!!

I've just been reading that stuff - it's really interesting.

I believe I once saw a UFO, in around '96 - it was a triangular frame and not quite as big as the one in that link, and it was travelling along and rotating... I was only about 10/11 at the time and pointed it out to some younger friends in the school yard who I doubt remember it, but I remember it so well.

amazing that some people heard a helicopter, but not the jets that produces 40,000 lbs of thrust :loopy:
