Hi, what year are you looking for or is it all the years from when the railway started up to it being shut down. I am a railway photographer and I havent got any but what I will do is I will ask my fellow railway photographers to see if they have got any for you we might be lucky but I cant promise anything, there is quite a few books out on the woodhead railway you could try and get them off the author or you could approach the publishers and ask if you could have some of them you never know you might be lucky, anyway I will see what I can do for you, of all the railway systems that I have photographed we never did get round to photoing the woodhead railway not when it was running that is I did some work for collage on the railway system for woodhead but thats yonks ago, I have moved to 4 houses since then and quite a bit of my photos have been lost some where a long the lines of moving. But I shall try and help you the best I can.

Hi
Have you seen the video clips of the Woodhead Line on the BBC website. Look out for the "Engines Must Not Enter the Potato Sidings" clips.

Avalon are you a member of D.V.R.(Don valley railway) Ltd.
I just wondered as you were wanting info on that particular line.
As that is the line(stocksbridge to sheffield) we are trying to get up and running again.(steam trains.)

I am a member of the Yahoo Woodhead group and have posted a number of my old black & white shots of the line between Glossop, Penistone and Sheffield in a folder named "Tony Woodhead" but the only one around Sheffield itself was taken from a footpath at Neepsend around 1977. I will see if I can find any more. I have only just joined this forum so cannot send private messages as yet.
