As most of you will know, I am currently incapacitated due to Gammy Elbow Disease, which is extremely painful, may I add.

Therefore, being a man with a large appetite for work, I wish to channel my energies into conducting a useful survey.

Gammy Elbow Disease: how many forum members have been stricken by it in the last ten years?

Is it rare?

Or is GED more common than first thought?

My article 'Elbows, the dark truth!' should be out by the end of next month.

I've never had it. Maybe it's not contagious?

Incidentally Sam, I'd always thought you were a girl. I only realised when I read this thread!

Some-one i knew had a complaint that involved surgery on both elbows and then he had them in casts for weeks. Try imagining how difficult it is to do things without being able to bend your elbows, getting dressed was the least of is problems.
I don't understand by the way, why does this post indicate that the creator of it is male? Sam may be fibbing!!

To be honest, in my case, it sounds like it could be a severe form of tennis elbow that's taken over my entire lower arm.

Even if its a Gammy one?

Sam Miguel

Actually, it's less gammy today than yesterday - more like grotty. I'm out at a party tomorow night, so I hope it's better still.

I don't want my elbow to put my friends off the buffet food.

If it starts to go all gammy and malformed ragain, which it probably will, I'll have to keep my coat on until all the food has gone.

The worse thing that can happen then is they'll all throw up afterwards.

I recon the worst that could happen is someone could knock it, sending you into a frenzy of pain making your good arm flail wildly and knock all the buffet food flying.
But thats my evil imagination for you!
my nice side says: I hope you have a good night and that you dont make your mates barf (too much).

And do be careful when you travel home in your triangular flying thingy with the lights and the ultra-low frequency hum.

Yes SM, we know it's you!

You banged your elbow on the door when you wound down the window to wave the three RAF jets past, so the police helicopter would think you were sober and leave you alone.

The medical term for it is Pre-indicator Elbow Syndrome. It was very common in the 30's before flashing indicators were fitted as standard.
