i have a kitten that used to be pretty well behaved. She was litter trained easily and quite playful and affectionate. Now she's turned in to the cat from hell,She wont stop peeing in the corner of our hall and she's very viscious and attacks us rather than plays. I don't want to have to get rid of her as she is a well loved pet so i need some advice to make her tolerable again

Sounds like she is ready for the op!!! Has she had it?
Cats tend to get more aggressive and pee everywhere when they get... well... horny.

I'd recommed the chop as well...our cat's been deprived of his knackers and he's never sprayed in the house once.
All else I can suggest is get a scratching post and play to burn up her energy...but from what you say it sounds like she's already using you as a scratching post!
I reccommend spaying her too, if she's over 7 months of course. I do so love naughty kitties!
I agree with carmine, she could also be a little bored and need to be stimulated at this age so a cat scratcher with a mouse on or something would be great.
Janey.
Just to check, if she's responding badly at times, are you sure no one is treating her badly when you can't see?
Tin foil on the floor in the area she uses can be a deterrent, plus orange peel if it won't damage your surfaces, or put a litter tray there.
Neutering/spaying does change behaviour but cats are generally very tolerant and friendly if they are treated right, sometimes its kids or neighbours.
Changing your approach might help, it might sound silly but you could try these which came from a cat book I've got.
Avoid direct eye contact.
Crouch when walking past the cat, to show you do not intend harm or dominance (you should dominate to some degree but you need to work past thre problems first).
Approach the cat sideways.
Close your eyes when looking at the cat (but for short periods of time, minimise the eye contact) then close your eyes for an extended period and turn your head away before re opening them, it shows trust on your part.
If this is used for a while the cat may re adapt.
Best of luck, keep us up to date.
