Anyone know what time Matalan opens tomorrow (if at all) as I've something to take back to swap for a bigger size.

Think their massive sale starts on boxing day.

some shops won't do exchanges on Boxing Day 'cos of the sales.

Sad people. Its bloody Christmas Day and all some people can think about is harrassing poor shop staff tomorrow.

Yup, well I am a Xmas temp and was supposed to working in Meadowhell tomorrow (last day). But, although it's spiting myself out of one day's wage, I have decided not to go as they have cut our contracts short, treat temps like blank and I would rather spend it with my OH and little girl relaxing than be in Meadowhall helping them out with all the irate customers and people raiding the sales, and probably getting spoken to like blank whilst some permanent members of staff stand and do sod all. Sod 'em.

What annoyed me last week was at the supermarket. Some people stocking up with supplies of milk and bread as if it was a nuclear holocaust ala Threads.

I know! We went to Morrisons at Meadowhead yesterday morning for nappies, and it was fine! Shelves full, not at all packed.. why do people panic for the sake of ONE DAY! Madness!

Feel really sorry for staff who get the rough end of the stick. I don't really stock up - filled the freezer a few days ago and got in a joint of beef on Sunday. But, completely at a loss as to what to buy my brother, I went into Matalan on Sunday and picked up the perfect jacket for him and assessed him as a Medium. He tried it on today and it's a bit on the tight side, so will try to get it changed tomorrow if poss.

The other side of the coin is that I work in the NHS - I spent the Wednesday before Christmas twiddling my thumbs because 5 of my 6 appointments either cancelled or did not turn up! I'd have much rather have been busy and useful!

Nipped to Matalan this morning. It was very quiet and I managed to swap the jacket I bought for a larger size so that my brother can take it home with him when he leaves today.
