View Full Version : Cooking Courses in Sheffield tomjermy 10-02-2005, 10:58 Hi, Does anyone know of cooking courses in or around Sheffield? My wonderful girlfriend needs to know :) Tom Kristian 10-02-2005, 10:59 Can't you teach her Tom? :D Or should you be going together? K x tomjermy 10-02-2005, 11:12 2 good reasons why we won't be going together. 1. I only do desserts. 2. She's a vegetarian, I don't know any good home made veg. recipies. 3. I'm a man, it is not my responsibility to cook. ;) T Kristian 10-02-2005, 11:16 Originally posted by tomjermy 2 good reasons why we won't be going together. 1. I only do desserts. 2. Give the colleges a call. If you are prepared to cross the Pennines, this is the proverbial dog's b****cks and it doesn't come cheap. Vegetarian Society - Cordon Vert School (http://www.vegsoc.org/cordonvert/diary.html#prices2) Yum. Yum. face 10-02-2005, 13:51 try www.allrecipes.com. It has a lot of stuff and its where I learnt a lot of cooking from so I think its good... WallBuilder 10-02-2005, 15:19 Norton college do some sort of cookery courses though it's probably called something like 'domestic science'. Don't know whether it has an option for veggies after all there is only so much you can do with soya and a lettuce leaf. tomjermy 10-02-2005, 16:38 Thanks for that guys, if anyone can think of anything else, let me know! Tom Hopman 12-02-2005, 08:45 Hi Tom, Since you are using the Internet, why not look on the BBC website for recipes: www.bbc.co.uk/ Follow the links to food. A few weeks ago i did see an advert on TV for some antacid (Rennies possibly?) which followed one for a well known fast food chain... mat1978 12-02-2005, 09:05 Just pop into Castle College on Granville Raod and pick up a prospectus. They do all sorts of Evening/Saturday courses and they specialise in Food Courses, not sure if they would do one specifically in Vegetarian though. They will be closed all this week for Half Term but try the week after. Litotes 12-02-2005, 09:13 There is a cookery school down in Nottinghamshire... http://www.manorcuisine.co.uk/ don't know anything about it... tomjermy 12-02-2005, 09:25 Cool, I shall look into the Sheffield College one - keep em coming! |
