I'm not sure if this is the right section to post in but here goes...

I used to have Sky+ but the box died on me, I've managed to get my hands on a replacement box but it is a standard Sky box. Does anyone know if his will plug straight in or will I need some sort of adapter or alteration to make it work?

the wires will plug straight into the box. you will however have to advise sky(unless you've cancelled) 'cos they'll bill you for sky +, you also need to match the viewing card with the box through them.

sky+ will have 2 coax leads going to the box, you only need to use one feed.

Thanks for that... I cancelled about 6 months ago when the box backed in, I've kept the viewing card so hopefully I'll be able to get the Free Sat channels.

Sky+ doesnt cost extra any more, so you dont need to tell them anything if you dont want, then when you get hold of a sky+ box just plug that in..

i keep forgetting about the cost being stopped.
