I have just cleaned out my hamsters cage and when i held my hamster i noticed he has a small red type rash or mark on his front left leg i am really worried incase he as hurt himself or if he is ill does anyone have any idea of what may have caused this or what it could be i am terribly worried:(:help: he can run and walk on it o.k it looks sore but he seems in good health:(

He may have caught his leg on something - good news that he's running around ok, but keep your eye on him.

yeah, sounds like he has caught it on something, if he his walking and running fine am sure he should be ok, keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse you might need to take him to the vets for a check up. Let us no how you go on with your hammie :)

Hope your hammie gets better soon. You could try dabbing it with a little salted water, to aid healing, or something like a tiny dot of savlon cream to prevent infection ... the salted water would probably be best
