You know I'm loving having Ashia's kittens here still but boy will I be relieved when 2 of them go to their new homes! Eleven weeks old now and into everything. I even suspect the barmy bengal Alfie has been teaching them some of his tricks, judging by what happened last night.
I'll never know how the CSI Miami season finale ended (not that it was that good anyway, the bit of the programme I did get to see), because just beforeit finished, there was an almight CRASH upstairs and the sudden scampering of several pairs of tiny furry feet away from the obvious scene of destruction... I'd heard them boucing about earlier but thought nothing of it until then.
On investigation, I discovered the little angels/demons/darlings/horrors (delete as appropriate) had managed to knock a glass shelf off the chimney breast and onto the floor- fortunately it wasn't smashed (tempered glass- phew!) but I'm not so sure the things that were sat on it have fared so well...I am so glad we fastened the flat screen tv monitor to the wall though - but as for the set top box and the dvd player (and the remote controls and the clock...) I think tonight I'll be checking them over to see what is Ok and what gets binned...
Anyway, all 3 considered themselves well and truly ticked off and I noticed the barmy boy Alf hovered in the distance, grinning as if to say 'my work here is done'. One loony feline in the house is more than enough, thankyou - I just hope he hasnt shared too many of his mischievous tricks with them. I'v already had to contend with frilly leather arms on my sofa and two chewed off slats from the venetian blinds - oh and a broken lamp - the only one I'd forgotten to fasten down with blue-tack.
Monsters!
(Love em really)
