I've seen it - and it's absolutely superb. The infamous octopus scene aside, it's really not as shocking as many make out. It's pretty much in the Tarantino mould, with a twisty-turny plotline that keeps you hooked right to the end. Best film I saw last year, without a doubt. ANGELUS 09-02-2005, 08:47 Whats the octopus scene? Please explain. No special effects, either :gag: theflyingfish 09-02-2005, 09:36 Brillaint film. Stunning. The plot is mind blowing. I saw Bangkok Dangerous the other day - any one know of any other good Asian cinema? Anyone seen Infernal Affairs? Any good? Anyone seen Infernal Affairs? Any good? I've seen Infernal Affairs. It's very good, though a little slow-moving. I've just got hold of Infernal Affairs II (which is the prequel) and I plan to watch that very soon, and I believe Infernal Affairs III is out in Korea - you can get the Korean box set from CD-Wow but it's a bit pricey! stussonicos 09-02-2005, 11:03 Towards the end of last year UGC at Valley Centretainment were showing a different Tartan Aisa Extreme film every fortnight (think about 8 films in total), and I beleive the Showroom are now showing one or two of the films that UGC did. I had the pleasure of seeing Gozu (cow head??) which is probably the strangest film I have evr seen in my life - still worth seeing though - think that is the one that the Showroom are currently playing. Save the Green Planet is also very good. I aslo think Blockbuster are now stocking more Tartan/Asian stuff, managed to pick up Battle Royale 2 and A Tale of Two Sisters for 7.99 each the other week. |
