I'm looking for a Mr L H G**n - if you're reading this, you posted a cheque to "Robert", he doesn't live at that address anymore (hasn't for many many years in fact)! I opened his Christmas card by accident on auto pilot tonight...

The card was a St. Luke's Hospice one and the message read "Thanks to Robert for another blossoming year" + Lloyds TSB chq.

I have contacted Lloyds but they said they wouldn't be able to trace you unless I went into a branch (which I don't have time to do). I have taken he liberty of shredding the cheque (after I got over the initial dissapointment that it wasn't for me).

So if you're reading this - I guess you need to get Robert's new address and send him another chq :)

Have a look in the phone book; there can't be many people in Sheffield who have 2 asterisks in their surname.

Well I thought publishing his full name and then saying "ahem, numpty, you sent a chq for £50 to an address where the bloke hasn't lived for at least 4 years & I'm broadcasting it to a large portion of Sheffield" might be a bit mean :D
