A word of warning - Don't use Kazaa I think that's where we've just had all the problems from!

Don't know what it is like now but a few months ago All Of MP3 was great, about 10 times cheaper than the rest and still legal.

Stuff about payment here -

Try Ares. Its free (dunno about legal) and it has much better virus protection than Kazaa. Havent had a single one off it, or even a faulty song

you cant beat www.allofmp3.com it just plain rocks, the prices are extremly reasonable... my only quirk is they dont have a lot of lesser known stuff...

I wanted some 80's matchbox b-line disaster but they dont have any :( but they do seem to have an extremly extensive amount of music... much better than most P2P programs, and totally virus free and no random duds :P

I used to use Kazaa, got sick of all the crap that comes with it (did i ask you to install your own virus software? No. and where did all those other running programs come from?)

I've been using itunes for about a month now and as a CD ripper and jukebox etc. it sucks, (Musicmatch for me!) but downloads seem good. 79p a song, quick, and have had no trouble finding stuff i want, don't know what it'd be like on more obscure stuff but i've had no problems so far.

I still use Kazaa, and I use an add-on program called Diet K. It gets rid of all the adware and spyware. Fab!

Why not just use Kazaa Lite? It has all the adware and spyware removed

Kazaa is getting more and more useless as the RIAA and such fill it with crap.

Yeah I tried Kazaa and didn't get one single mp3 with sound on it. I posted about this in a previous thread. Soon got rid of kazza after that.

Can't believe no-one's mentioned bittorrent...

& as the lawsuit for lokitorrent is still in it's infancy, it's (I suppose) technically legal?

I use iTunes - good software, fantastic selection of jazz and I like the iMixes!! My friends keep telling me it's too expensive though.

i doubt to be honest if any thing is free to d/l its legal and the trouble with bittorrent is most sites have now been shut because of the illegal activity

Win mx is file shareing with all the problems that come with it,although it does appear to be one of the better ones.AllofMp3 is straight download for a very small fee and a massive database .
