I am using firefox and two important e mails made in June confirming holiday bookings have disappeared from my inbox.
Does firefox delete e-mails after a certain length of time or have I been careless/stupid and deleted them myself?
I don't need to recover them as I've got confirmation from the holiday company.

If it is thunderbird try compacting folders from file menu - this *sometimes* recovers messages that are lost, else you prob. deleted them.

Never had Thunderbird delete any mail as far as i know. The only folder that can be emptied automatically is the "deleted" folder (ok, and maybe the junk folder - depends on settings).

You're not one of these people who likes to "keep" things in the Recycle Bin / Deleted Items folders, are you? :)
