Since Craig Gordon conceded 7 goals, to my knowledge, he hasn't made a 1st team appearance, neither has he been injured. In his defence he was not totaly responsible for conceding all those goals. The defence must accept part of the blame, so why is a £9M goalie sat on his bum?
I can't see him losing his confidence to that extent, can Roy be that "mardy" that he is prepared to drop him this long because of 1 game? Or is there something else brewing. Are the board prepared to allow such an expensive player sit around, after all they paid for him.
It's rumoured that Man Utd & Arsenal are interested in Boruc and Celtic would need a replacement but as all 3 are still in the CL not playing Gordon would not benefit any of them, plus they wouldn't make a move for Boruc until Celtic finished with the CL.
So is Gordon just another Schevy or is Keane that big a "Mardy Bum"?

Mmm he is a pretty stubborn character. I'd say mardy bum, but not to his face.

He's probably just taking him out of the firing line for a few games and reminding him he needs to play well or there is another keeper ready to step into his shoes.

I cannot understand his signing of McShane who is neither a Premiership nor International player in my opinion. I hope the next Ireland manager agrees with me?

More understandable the Kenny Dalglish - I always looked for the subtitles when he was on telly.

actually, roy keane isn't mardy, despite how he may across. he's very principled, but he lets things go very quickly.

So how "Quickly" do you reckon Gordon will be back in as 1st choice keeper?

only last season when sunderland played a yorkshire team in the league the players were told before he came ,no one was to attempt to speak with him as he had left instruction to that effect. the man needs a personality bypass.

i have no idea - what i'm saying is that the reason, imo, is unliklely to be that roy's being mardy. i'm not saying that his reason (whatever it is) is a good one or a bad one, just that i don't think it's a case of him being mardy, because that isn't him (as far as i know).

I dont reckon much to the 'principles' of a man who walks out on his country on the eve of the world cup just because he doesnt like the manager.

Neither did i at the time, but that's because i didn't know anything about the guy or what happened. now i do, and i've changed my mind. Roy's a great bloke, top family man, and certainly not mardy. if people want to make assumptions about him from what they read or hear, or even from a brief 'meeting', then that's up to them, but for heavens sake, don't think for one second that you're making an informed judgement.

I think it's only right to give a keeper a rest after a scoreline like that... How a scottish keeper can cost that much, though, is beyond me!

Speaking as a total neutral on this one, I think he is a better keeper than the one England had in goal against Croatia (both games!)!

I wouldn't agree with that to be honest. Although I don't rate all 3 keepers you speak of that highly.

9 times better... really?
