I do;).

There's DVDAuthorGUI (http://download.videohelp.com/liquid217/dvdauthorgui.pl) and GUI for DVDAuthor (http://download.videohelp.com/gfd/) (both are front ends for dvdauthor).

Both are free:)

I'm probably being dozy in my pre-caffeinated state, but I can't find the poll on your site  .

I'd vote for CCleaner though :) .

Hi Hecate, your browser may be showing a cached 'out of date' page, refresh the page or try F5.

The link is here though :)

I don't think it's a cache problem. I clicked on that link for the first time this morning and I received the introductory text to the poll, a link to your homepage but no poll.

It might be a Norton issue. I'm having a similar problem with missing bits and pieces (forum reply box toolbars) on web pages on the Ravelry website. If I visit Ravelry under Linux - which isn't monitored by Norton - the missing bits magically appear.

I don't have access to Linux on this machine, so can you submit my vote for CCleaner for me?

You're seeing everything except the poll 'boxes' then.....

*goes to put a vote in for CCleaner*

I think I must be. The last line of the text I see is: 'We aim to change the page monthly as the poll results change', then there's a blank space directly under it, then there's the home page link.

I love Norton  .

I

I love Norton  .

It's not got a good reputation on the forum, I know that much.
I hear that 'back in the old days' Norton was the biz, but it got bought out and subsequently was ruined?

According to forum chat ;)

Never used it myself.

Oh, bugger :(
You don't run norton do you sccsux?
Doesn't seem to be a browser problem... (http://browsershots.org/http://www.softwarecybersleuth.co.uk/poll.htm)

You don't run norton do you sccsux?

Surely you jest:hihi:

NoScript was blocking the script from displaying the options (all scripts are blocked, by default).

Can see the options when I allow the host (external) site to run scripts (which I don't really like - cross site scripting). Only found this out when I read the source:D

Can vote now:thumbsup:

Hmmm. Which bit of my Norton anti-virus/firewall gubbins might be doing an equivalent task to this NoScript software? Any ideas?

I wonder if this scripting thing might be responsible for my Ravelry toolbar issues too. Apparently the toolbars are called in from an external site for display within the Ravelry forum reply box. Might Norton be blocking that if it relies upon some script or other?

You might have guessed that I don't have much of a clue about this sort of thing, but can anyone see what I'm talking about here, and suggest a solution?

Sorry to hijack your thread a little, Draggletail :) .

I've voted too Draggle... I'm a little confused by the "categories" though.

Surely it would've been better to just have a big list of things to vote for... allowing multiple votes if you wanted. Or have categories that made some sense... why are Office alternatives lumped in with software "packs"? I also have issue with the "homepage" and "portable" selections too.

Granted it only really works with you supplying a list of options (obviously letting people type in their choice would be a nightmare for collating results) but your poll seems somewhat limited... surely it should include every app listed on your site?

Thanks for voting moonlight, and for your feedback :)

I was constrained by the limitations at 'addfree stats' the pol host, in that I could only have ten polls and ten items per poll, which should answer some of your points.

It is intended to be 'one big list' in terms of the poll/resuts though, and you can have multiple votes.

In hindsite it would have been better to dowload some software and host it myself with no limitations, but time was against me (Mrs D ill with the tummy bug, and a two year old to look after)

Nevermind!

You may like to have a look at FreshHTML (http://www.freshwebmaster.com/index.html) too (which allows WYSIWYG editing, plus standard HTML editing). Been using it for the last 2 months, and must say, I'm quite impressed (I also like their FTP client too). The only downside is that they require registration - via email - or you get a nag screen that stays on longer with each passing day.
