View Full Version : A question of skirt...
mjlacey21 08-02-2005, 12:01 May seem a very unneccessary question, but it saves me thinking for myself. Have bought a brown suede micro mini and don't know whether to wear it with black or natural tights - will be with boots. Any ideas or is this too stupid to deserve an answer?
threecolours 08-02-2005, 12:18 18 views and no responses so far! From the title of your thread I wasnt sure what to expect..
'Natural tights' - a no no! Go with black - just make sure your boots are black too.
jonsastar 08-02-2005, 12:25 Any chance of a viewing, as its hard for a man to work out what goes with a micro mini with seeing it being worn.
Bit cold for a micro mini innit.
brrrrrrr.......
mjlacey21 08-02-2005, 12:28 I'm from newcastle.
muddycoffee 08-02-2005, 12:28 Black.
And brown high heeled boots would be nice too.
Maybe only if dark brown

mjlacey21 08-02-2005, 12:30 We traditionally wear few clothes in cold weather. It's the law.

Ohhh, I understand now.
In that case, black woolly tights, and a black tightish top. with a nice black leather jacket.
I altered what I first wrote in the interest of mankind:)
muddycoffee 08-02-2005, 12:48 Is it a Newcastle Brown skirt?
mjlacey21 08-02-2005, 12:53 Yes, I've only just worked out how to get my arse throught the bottle neck, but now I'm squeezing in nicely.

Where abouts in Newcastle are you from?
I know what you mean about the 'law' I have to wear a T-shirt in Gail force wind and rain when i visit. It was hard at first, but now its just normal :)
mjlacey21 08-02-2005, 13:14 From high heaton, but went to Gosforth High school. Whereabouts are you from?
I found out last week that apparently the reason we wear so little in newcastle is because the bars and clubs are so close together, but I think it's just because the cloakroom queues are always so long.
Lickable 08-02-2005, 13:23 I think people wear little clothes is because one day someone said to someone else 'I'm arder than u man! i ganning oooot in my boxers like', and the trend began.
I am not from Newcastle. I am from Carlisle, but my partners family live in Widdrington and Morpeth, so i get a good yearly dosage of Newcastle.
Geordiecarl 08-02-2005, 14:20 im from newcastle too, i graduated from the leadmill 2 years ago but i keep on here for the crack as i still know loads of people who live down there. How old are you? i knew a few people who lived in the heaton/gossy area and went to gossy high. i went to newcastle college and lived in gateshead, but i dont steel cars for a living!
answer on the attire, brown boots with black fishnets, geordie girls pull offskirts the best!
WallBuilder 08-02-2005, 17:56 Just an idea but had you considered yellow tights? I suppose it depends on how brave you are..
Newcastle must of changed a bit since last time i was wandering through jesmond Dene as I don't remember many scantily clad people, and yes I did go drinking down on the Quay side and in the Market Square.
I always liked the 'stottie' [I think that's what it was called]
Is Olivers the bakery shop still there it had a restaurant in the basement that sold hot chocolate to die for.
tslogf74 08-02-2005, 18:13 At the risk of sounding conformist, black tights definately.
no tights just lace up leather boots and a fringed waistcoat
tslogf74 08-02-2005, 20:09 I agree with jonsastar though... pictures would make the decision easier.
