Warnock has the last laugh.... bloody blade..:rolleyes:
Crystal Palace 2-1 Sheff Wed
Crystal Palace grabbed a last-gasp win over Sheffield Wednesday thanks to rookie striker Sean Scannell.
Richard Hinds nodded Wednesday ahead when he pounced on after Eagles keeper Julian Speroni spilled a Frank Simek shot into his path.
Palace drew level when Mark Hudson headed across goal for Clinton Morrison to head in.
Palace secured victory when Scannell lobbed the ball over keeper Lee Grant for his first professional goal.

Blame ally68. She put the hex on you guys in post #2 :(
Laws, according to teletext, was "fuming" at having been "robbed."
It doesn't say in what way robbed, or whether he's fuming at the officials or his own players. Was there some dodgy refereeing decision that he thinks denied them a point or three? Or is it simply that they played the better football on the park, but didn't do it where it counted in the goalmouth?

Did you hear him on Praise or Grumble too, then? :hihi:

Funny that.
If it would have been Robbo it would say that it was "whinging" or "whining" but I guess that only applies to United when they complain. :confused:

Exactly Chuff , thought it was only me that noticed that sort of stuff :D
Stockers 17-12-2007, 07:52 Well done Neil, great call on P&G when Warnock called in as a regular caller to praise himself (somethings never change). He's a top Blade, i hope he gets a decent reception from our fans on the 29th Dec.
That makes Neils record against the Pigs - won 5, drawn 4, lost 2...not a bad record.
I think Simon Cowell (sorry Brian Laws) is becoming a little obsessed with the Blades, his pre match talk revolves around going above us then his post match comments are bitter beyond belief beacuse he has just been beaten by a better manager.

Yep that's about the size of it. The difference being of course that Laws only does it when there's good reason, Robson does it whenever they lose. And Warnock used to do it if he didn't like how the ref parted his hair, or what boots the linesman had on.
so in short:
Owls = complain
Blades = Whinge, bleat, whine.
merry crimble canadian people.
(don't we have any Owls fans in Canadia ?)

Shouldn't that read:
Owls = snort and oink
Blades = Whinge, bleat, whine
Chicken = chicken stock
Cow = beef stock
Owl = laughing stock

Well that explains it then. :hihi:
Seems to me that I noticed a Canadian Owls fan posting on here at one time.
Not seen anything lately though.
Must have seen the light. :hihi:
Merry Christmas to all fans of whatever persuasion and let's hope that things pickup in the new year. :thumbsup:

Yes we do and a good lad as it goes and a mate of mine.
Hes probably wishing he was sitting on an island drinking margaritas in the Carribeann counting his stacks of money from the book he wrote "Flying with the OCS "
but is more likely freezing his boll*cks off not far from where CB lives and cant get out the house because we just had a massive snowstorm.

Some things in football happen, as sure as night follows day.
Teams coming to Hillsborough with unbeaten records in November, lose them there (Spurs' double team in '60; Man Utd. 85).
Teams that haven't won at home on a weekend all season, end that run on the last day against Wednesday! (Palace 1998, Stockport 2002)
We all knew when Palace failed to beat West Brom a couple of weeks ago, that Warnock would get his first home win in this one.
However much Wednesday were in command during the game; as play became more open and stretched towards the end; we were always likely to concede on the break, especially considering the pace their sub. had. (he looks a useful lad!)
The complaint Laws can be justified in, is when you play a team of Warnocks' , the last thing you need is a weak referee.
That one on Saturday allowed elbowing, and tackles from behind through the man, which would have got a straight red in most televised premier games.
IF we were to get a win over Watford,., Sat next - we'd be a point better off than drawing them both. IF .... !
I was there.
We deserved at least a point.
But take nothing away from the 17 year old debutant who got the winner, was an excellent finish and a thorn in Spurr's side from the moment he stepped on the field of play.
Just a shame Tudgay missed 2 one-on-ones (both came a minute before each CP goal) and we hit the bar once and Bullen had an awesome shot saved somehow.
Ahh well, bring on Grotford!
