i was wondering if there are any bulldog owners around here?
i have an 8 month old male and was wondering if there is any bulldog clubs in sheffield where we can attend?

have you tried the Sheffield&distict bulldog club ,.did you know that theres a bulldog pet owners site forum type thing on yahoo you can get to it via the bulldog rescue site www.bulldogrescue.co.uk .hope this helps .ooops forgot to say these sites are for purebred bulldogs p.m me if you need any more help

i dont seem to be able to get on to the sheffield and district bulldog sight for some reason.
hes a pure breed. typical stubborn, ignorant, sweet natured, farting, melonheaded bulldog.
but we love him to bits.

Breed clubs are a good place to start a puppy search as most members are breeders

Remember when contacting a breed club that secretary's are voluntary. Please be considerate as to when you telephone them

he doing well on training its just a case of getting his attenton and keeping it.
it took us weeks to find a red and white one from a breeder, everyone seems to have fawn and white ones now.

I had never had a dog before and I wanted a family one that would be active, playful and that loves kids. We got 2 labradors and I haven't looked back. :)

well they can be lazy.
great family dogs though, he loves all 3 of my kids and can be just as playful.

They are both 2 years old. Molly is the chocolate one and Pippa is the yellow one. They are lovely :) Here they are:

I would love to own a Britsih Bulldog but I understand they are prone to lots of health problem because of how they have been bred.

*ignores the fact that Sid is actually trolling*

There are moves to improve the health of the breed, but those outside of KC registration which are being crossbred back to a more sensible jaw shape are probably a better bet - that's not to say all non-KC dogs are healthy - there are plenty of pups being produced by unscrupulous 'breeders' just to make a fast buck

buyer beware!

do your research fully before purchasing a pup, and expect to see the parents before you're confronted with a pup you can't say no to ;)
