How much would it cost to hire a private detective. Do they work on an hourly rate or what?

My dad used to be a private detective to my shame (well it sort of made me cool at school) :hihi:
It used to be hourly rate + expenses.
Watch out for the expenses - petrol, hotel, food :suspect:

makes me wonder why you'd need a P.I.? you got a cheating partner and you need proof? neighbours from hell and want evidence?

This will depend on the complexity of the case. but anything between £35 - £150 per hour per investigator.

I wouldn't hire a P.I. i would tie a bit of fishing coil to his bits then attach other end to a door handle. While he is sleeping. Gently wake him and once he reckonises you've literally got him buy the nuts. Ask him out right. He will confess i tell ya. lol. If he dont make sure you shut the door and the string tightens.(im joking right)...

I did this for a while and I loved it, bit hairy sometimes but never boring. If it had been full time work would still be doing it. If youre a good actress, be good PI. X:cool:

I happened to work in same building as PI had offices and it went from there really, said I would have made a good copper! Not sure if that was insult or compliment, couldnt do that job, so next best thing.

They offered me a small "job" with one of them one day and must have done ok cos did loads for them after that!! Its who you know in my case. XXXX

Why dont you look into it, depending on type of job, they need different people, gender, age, race etc. Might put you on books and if right job comes up who knows!!!

It takes hours of being sat doing nothing,hiding in bushes,cars vans,anywhere,peeing in bottles,abuse and even violence.Then theres the heart break side,as you can imagine when you break the bad news.Take it from me its not all you think it might be,not that it cant be rewarding.
