Has anyone tried out The Little Green Shop at 17 Commonside yet?
I called in today to check out what they had on offer and was suitably impresssed. They sell Fair trade/ organic foods set out on selves covering different regions of the world. They also promote self sufficiency and green ideas. Well worth a visit.

Its strange, they seem to promote self sufficiency and environmental awareness, but still ship in items from all over the world... i'm not convinced i'm afraid.
But apart from that! They have a nice range of stock.

Fair trade is self sufficiency. It's farmers in developing countries getting paid for their work not some fat capatalist westerner. If we stop buying their goods we will keep them poor while we stay wealthy. Are we going to stop selling our goods abroad? You bet we are not. Our economy would collapse. Theirs is already collapsed. The alternative for many poor countries is growing opiates and selling those. Much better for the enviroment that isn't it?
