A woman with a young baby was attacked outside Netto and badly beaten on Friday night so I'm told.
Apparantly the baby was OK but she was done over pretty badly.
I've been in the Smoke all weekend so don't know much about it, does anyone else know what happened.

I've not heard about this at all, but for someone to beat a woman in front of her own child is barbaric!
When they catch whoever it is, I hope they go down for a long time!

That has a familiar ring to it. Same story end of last year. Not sure of the location, but I thought it was the same.
Is there a nutter on the loose?

It was pretty late at night and the baby was very young to be out. The girl said they took a £20 note which "she had in her hand to use the phone?" How?????????
I think she said that she pulled the £20 note out of her pocket with her phone by accident.
I saw this on the local news - the 18 year old mum was interviewed. She said she'd been outside netto at manor Top at 10pm getting change out (maybe for the phone don't remember that bit) & they'd seen she had a £20 note & demanded she give it to them or they'd hurt the baby :(

STRING THEM UP .....who ever dares to hurt a child or even threaten to deserves to swing......
But then all the do gooders would run to the accused side to stick up for him and all the lawyer scum would defend him and probably try to sue the mother or something.
Anyone who sticks up for the muggers of this mother is no better than the mugger themselves and deserves to be strung up beside them.
I don't know what happened in this case because I wasn't there. However, whilst some crimes which have happened have not been reported to the police some crimes which have been reported to the police did not happen.
