In the interests of equality and fairness this question is aimed at both sexes as appropriate :D

When I see some women absolutely plastered in make-up I do wonder what they look like without it on and what a shock it must be for the fella who they have spent the night with for the first time.

I wear very little make-up as I have (or so I'm told) ;) a good skin and bone structure even into my 40's. However, I do feel naked without it and wouldn't go out without trying to make the best of myself. I used to go totally bare in the summer, but that was before I was aware of how damaging the sun is.

I don't believe that there has been a woman born who doesn't benefit from the use of a little 'slap'.

Never, although I wear a lot less now than I used to!

Worked with a lass many years ago who wore so much make-up she looked like a porcelain doll, I always thought she was going to crack. I remember her telling us that she wouldn't even go to the corner shop for a pint of milk without having a full face on.
Another friend wore so much lip stick it used to go on her teeth, very scary when she smiled, at the Christmas do it was like a close encounter with a toffee apple and several guys looked as though they'd been smacked in the mouth hard.
I love the way though that well applied make-up can emphasis the eyes and cheekbones.

Cant survive without hair wax! I can get away with going to the hair dresser, but i have my hair damp so that it keeps the shape :D and shes only 120 meters or so away from me house. As for antiprespirant, its in the interest of public safety.

I wouldn't go on stage without it - but i would love to wear it in daily life but sadly machoism in our society looks unfavourably on those that do, unless you wear it like marilyn manson- i know some men who wear foundation who are not gay just vain I guess.
I have no problem with makeup if applied properly - its the same with fashion - i've got nothing against anyones fashion sense as long as they look good. When you start looking like a clown its time to quit.
Oh by the way I don't need to wear makeup because i'm naturally beautiful but I'm jealous of girlfriends who seem to have so many more options in fashion and in makeup.

I say the men of the forum rise up and start wearing makeup!! Oh the girls might have to show us how to appy it - it could be fun!!

Come on admit it you all like making up your male friends!! Or is that just the women i know?:suspect:

I always put on mascara before I go out, but don't wear much makeup just a bit of moisturiser.;)

I wear a bit of make up during the week but I try and leave it off completely during the weekend to give my skin a break (unless I'm off out in the evening). I don't tend to leave the house when I'm not wearing make up, simply because I look washed out and vaguely ill without it! :P

I manage with anti perspirant, but wouldn't be seen dead without the high heels :hihi: ;)

If I'm going out for the evening I'll wear make up but otherwise it depends on my mood & I certainly don't bother if I'm just heading up to get milk from the Co op.

When I was a student I shared a house in my final year with a guy whose girlfriend once turned up to see him on the spur of the moment & hadn't put on any make up. She turned up at my bedroom door crying :( cos he'd told her she didn't look right without it & insisted she sort it out. It took all my will power not to tell her to give him the boot

I have blonde eyelashes so I have to wear mascara, or I end up looking like a ghost! On a "normal day" eg: a school day, I just have mascara and concealer on. I wear the same for work aswell. When I go out, I tend to use foundation, several coats of mascara, lipgloss and some liquid base eyeshadow, then powder eyeshadow on top. Not too over the top, just nice and relatively natural :P

Some women just hide under there slap on.

I reckon that the natural look is nice on some girls, but the older they get it seems the more slap on they put on,

I guess they use it like polyfiller and they are trying to fill the cracks... :hihi:

Depends how I feel really...

I (like many other ladies?) have day make up and night makeup... The former being much lighter to avoid getting a tide mark and/or looking like David Dickinson in drag!!!

Although, that said, it ain't like the evening look is troweled on... The older I get, the more I can "feel" makeup on my face, if it's too heavy. So, I try to stick to fairly lightish make up all the time, like Lancome colour id foundation. Lovely!
