well I've finally finished my Noni bag (night garden) and it is now inside the washing machine (automatic I'm afraid) on its second 90deg wash (yes, I really did say 90deg).
So far so good :)

View Full Version : Felting ... the washer is on ! mc55 09-12-2007, 17:21 well I've finally finished my Noni bag (night garden) and it is now inside the washing machine (automatic I'm afraid) on its second 90deg wash (yes, I really did say 90deg). Jill's advice is to put the bits into a pillow case, knot the end and then throw it in the washer with some heavy items (jeans / old trainers) and then set the washer to 90deg. I stopped the machine at the first spin and set it going again. The flowers look really good, but the bag required a little hand finishing in a sink of hot water. All are drying now, but I plan to sew them together tomorrow, so hopefully will have a picture. It's really given me confidence to try some more things. Can we see please :D mc55 23-12-2007, 18:42  erm, ahem, I have forgotten to take a photograph and bag has now been wrapped up and delivered for Christmas. It looked fantastic though (even if I do say so myself) |
