Best bet would be to look on Ebay or visit computer fairs, ub fact there's a computer fair down at Don Valley this weekend, it's on till 3 PM today. roughy101 06-02-2005, 11:01 thanks for that rich. Not necessarily. If you do not have MS Word but want to read and/or print (no editing or writing) Word documents, you can download MS Word Viewer quite legitimately for free from a MS Website. march 06-02-2005, 15:44 You can download Open Office for free which is compatible with all the Microsoft Office software. http://www.openoffice.org/ sccsux 06-02-2005, 16:39 Originally posted by march You can download Open Office for free which is compatible with all the Microsoft Office software. http://www.openoffice.org/ And is far superior in many ways. And there's a Linux version:thumbsup: :D Lurch 06-02-2005, 19:31 Some older MS programs, such as Windows 1.0 off the top of my head, are completely legally free to download as MS has stopped supporting them, or something similar. So downloading any program like word isn't piracy. I'd also go for the latest OpenOffice release, the best by far and for the price, astounding. |
