There is a specific second hand games shop actually in Crookes, next door to the video shop but I don't know if they do PC games or just console stuff. SHsheff 05-02-2005, 22:45 Apparently there's a place at Woodseats...... muddycoffee 05-02-2005, 22:49 There is a place at woodseats, it is near the yorkshire bank, next to the tesco, then the woodseats police station. Heybunny 06-02-2005, 12:10 For used games, I recommend Playtime Multimedia on Pinstone street. Just go to the Peace Gardens, head towards the Moor and walk on the left hand side, it's next to a shoe shop and Greggs. Further down the Moor is Gamestation which also are good, although I prefer eBay over all! :P However, I will strongly recommend you avoid Castle games, they sold me overpriced pirate games, so I personally avoid them like the plague. :) robbie 06-02-2005, 18:15 Playtime and Gamestation in Town. Sometimes the Game In Debenhams has dirt cheap games as well. ahevans 06-02-2005, 18:25 I remember a shop on Middlewood Rd called Alladins cave that did second hand games. suzyoo 06-02-2005, 21:05 HI, i was going to suggest the game shop at the top of the moor as well its very good. aladdins cave at middlewood is now a computer repair/2nd hand compy shop, hes very good and very nice too if your ever lookin for that sort of thing. I'll second that. I got hold of a Mega Drive Sonic 3 cartridge from there a couple of years ago. Ah! From the golden age of the blue hedgehog. Then I went home, put it down next to my stamp-collection, made myself a Thermos of coffee and went trainspotting for several hours... carriewarr 09-02-2005, 21:46 I drove past a place in Woodseats the other day - opposite the primary school - which advertised themselves as doing second hand games/consoles etc. Might be worth a look.... Cheers, Carrie CrazyDaisy 10-02-2005, 07:10 ShopForAGame - the place at Crookes, closed a few months ago. fnkysknky 10-02-2005, 09:26 Can't remember any shops that sell 2nd hand PC games - as far as I'm aware they just tend to be console games. Would like to be told otherwise tho :) scottf 10-02-2005, 09:30 Blockbuster do it too!!! Would like to be told otherwise tho :) They can't do second hand PC games, cos of anti-piracy laws, because PC games are easy to pirate. fnkysknky 10-02-2005, 11:01 Your not technically supposed to sell 2nd hand console games or rent them either iirc but doesn't stop 'em :) theflyingfish 10-02-2005, 11:25 The one on the Moor opposite Sainsburys does preowned PC games, I'm sure of it. Ebay though? SilentStatic 11-02-2005, 10:17 Yep, deffo eBay. I bought a couple of games for 50p each without even having to leave my flat :) |
