Hi all

Wondering if anyone who has dvd burning experience can help me out?

I have used DVD shrink which has output several files as video_ts. Now using Shrink i chose the burn with nero option which joined all the ts files together and began to burn to dvd.

The dvd doesnt play in either of my two dvd players but do play on my PC dvd player.

Should i be burning in a different format? if so how can i do this easily? Or is it the case that i am not going to be able to do this at all because of the type of dvd players i have?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks i anticipation.

Never had a problem to be honest, always just chose 'burn DVD and video files' from the photo & video section of Nero, click 'add' then drag and drop the TS files in.

Hopefully someone can help you out, sorry I can't be more use!

Could it be the "blank" DVDs you've used? Maybe your "normal" DVD players don't like +R / -R / RW discs?

Thanks for your replies.

Well one of the them is a dvd-r dvd recorder and i'm using dvd-r dvd's (Datawrite 16x)

I have just grabbed a couple of old data cell dvd's that somebody copied for me, they too are dvd-r but only 4x, they have the same audio and video TS structure on them and they work fine.

Do we reckon its more likely to be the the datawrite dvd's it doesnt like then rather than me doing something wrong?

Cheers

I'm trying a different mehod of burning but what i'm copying seems the always fall over the maximum space allowed on the dvd. Not in terms a data size as its only about a gig but in terms of minutes. How do i get nero to just account for data and ignore minutes as most of my stuff is over 120 minutes long?

If you're ripping one DVD at a time to burn directly to another you can get DVDshrink to output as an .iso or some other disc image file - you can then burn that directly with nero (recorder -> burn image iirc) which should overcome this.

Thankyou.

I no longer have the dvd only the audio and video ts files, is there another way?

I seem to have clocked it!!

Using the burning rom section of Nero it fits everything on and works in my dvd players.

Thanks all for your help.
