Am on the look out for a DJ for a new weekly reggae night to be held in Sheffield. Looking to be playing out everything from Trojan, UK Dub, 2 Tone and everything In between.

Have a city centre venue on board for Tuesdays provided we can show enough intrest in the night-as there appears to be no big reggae night in the city, dont think this will be too difficult. As the venue has two floors there is a possibility of playing some soul/hiphop on the smaller floor if the night proves popular.

If youre reading this and would be willing to come along and support the night, please post so we can get an idea of intrest!

Am looking for a DJ who knows the local scene a bit better than me and also willing to commit a bit of time to the project.

The number 1 dj in Sheffield for Reggae is the veteran dj Legs Diamond. He has played at all levels and his collection for out weighs many top djs today. His knowledge is 2nd to none as he is Jamaican and been playing for over 30 years.
You need this guy as he has the authentic voice and the tunes that real reggae fans want to here. Dubcentral and Riddimtion should take heed of this message.

I would be interested to know where the venue is. I love reggae but Tuesday night isn't too good. Would be better if it was at the weekend.

Hi I'm a reggae dj and am looking for gigs, I was going to say Tuesdays aren't ideal but seeing as I play regularly down at the Hen & Chickens on saturdays it would make sense and am definately interested. I also play a bit of hip hop/soul/dubstep/drum n bass but can do a whole night of reggae no probs, so I'm pretty versatile. Hehe my dj name is ms versatile :hihi:

Eezy2love- get yourself down to Hen n Chickens over this weekend- think it's reggae on both Fri and Sat (well definately Saturday coz I'm playing:D)

We host reggae most fridays and saturdays at the Hen and Chickens 3 Castle Green if you want old skool ultra cool DJs then Legs Diamond or Radi Dadi kick my beat box nothing finer, and we will come and support you nuff said

The Lady above our Hatty played a corker on saturday night and will be pushing out some more smokey vibes at the Hen and Chicks next week as well
