84?

I got as far as no4. This is an exercise in shooting sacred cows, which should be applauded, but to suggest that I take "Trout Mask Replica" off my HDD, that's simply heresy.

I am pleased to say that i only have 2 of the albums but i stole them from my ex boyfriend so i will willingly give them back to him!

I've got 17 of those.
And there's nowt wrong with them.

What's much worse is when you look through people's record collections and they have embarrasing things like Melany C, M-People, Savage Garden and pan pipe moods!

I've got 13. A few I couldn't care less about, but "Joshua Tree" is critically acclaimed as a classic.

The writer is a moron, who seems to have a serious grudge against Sting!

I've just been having a look around the Jaguaro website and I was particularly struck by the "About" page.

http://jaguaro.org/about/index.html

After reading it two words sprang to my mind: Nathan Barley.

how can he say that about joshua tree!!! frequently voted in the top 10 albums of all time.

a blatent case of 'lets contradict the mainstream just to look cool and purposefully non-trendy'.

Yeah I agree totally

The first disk of Physical Graffiti is first class from start to finish.

The second disk has a few tracks that are a bit iffy!

I have 11.

I think whoever wrote that list has a HUGE chip on their shoulder, and thinks that just being popular makes something bad.

I have a huge collection of cds, vinyl and tape dating back to around 1975, when I began buying music at the age of 14. I am proudest of my original John Coltrane albums. Perhaps 'Loop di Love' by Jonathan King, and the 'Touch Me' album by the musical entertainer/pederast known as Gary Glitter are candidates for removal? Some early Throbbing Gristle material, the "greatest Hits" of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, plus a demo tape by the murderer Charles Manson [given to me by an ex member of a well-known Sheffield band] should also be dumped?

Sorry, I misread the thread. The list is what we should be focusing on. Having looked at it, I can only say that anyone who lists albums by Beefheart, Lou Reed, The Beatles, Zeppelin,Public Enemy and [unbelievably, 'Bitches Brew'] Miles Davis in the top twenty of 'removables' has a very pedestrian taste in music. Of course, taste is subjective, and the writer is entitled to his opinion. However, many of these albums, especially the ones in his top twenty are considered to be iconic. Most critics, for example writers in Q and Mojo magazines, would consider the list to be the work of a misanthropic philistine. What lights his fire?
