K x
31 :suspect:
I shall now smash with hammer as requested
limpetboy 05-02-2005, 17:50 I had 21 - which is a lot less than I expected given there is some proper old shoite in my collection :help:
I only actually own one - Tori Amos - Under the Pink & no I have no intention of taking a hammer to it
I have 12 of them, I think whoever wrote that is a bit stupid really. Oh well.
Phanerothyme 05-02-2005, 17:54 84?
I got as far as no4. This is an exercise in shooting sacred cows, which should be applauded, but to suggest that I take "Trout Mask Replica" off my HDD, that's simply heresy.
MissFeathers 05-02-2005, 18:04 I am pleased to say that i only have 2 of the albums but i stole them from my ex boyfriend so i will willingly give them back to him!
Deejay says that i should shame myself with what they are called but he can.'insert words'

muddycoffee 05-02-2005, 18:35 I've got 17 of those.
And there's nowt wrong with them.
What's much worse is when you look through people's record collections and they have embarrasing things like Melany C, M-People, Savage Garden and pan pipe moods!
ive 24 cds on that list how miles davis is number 9 is on that list escapes me bitches brew is a classic:D
alchresearch 05-02-2005, 19:42 I've got 13. A few I couldn't care less about, but "Joshua Tree" is critically acclaimed as a classic.
The writer is a moron, who seems to have a serious grudge against Sting!
I've just been having a look around the Jaguaro website and I was particularly struck by the "About" page.
http://jaguaro.org/about/index.html
After reading it two words sprang to my mind: Nathan Barley.
I can't take this list seriously at all. There are far worse albums kicking around than lots on that list.
FairyNormal 05-02-2005, 21:45 Just 2 for me :
Bowie ...... Hunky Dory
Nirvana ............ never mind
I've got 6, got as far as no.21 before I hit my first one.
Nowt wrong with Tori Amos, Pink, The Doors, No Doubt (well???), there's even a few others I might consider buying having not set eyes on them for years. :) :) :)
Nirvana - Nevermind
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Oasis - What's the Story, Morning Glory?
Pearl Jam - Vs.
Beck - Midnite Vultures
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
White Stripes - White Blood Cells
Chemical Bothers - Dig Your Own Hole

If you try and taker a hammer to it, i will have to get in the way! ;)
how can he say that about joshua tree!!! frequently voted in the top 10 albums of all time.
a blatent case of 'lets contradict the mainstream just to look cool and purposefully non-trendy'.
Rubysoho 07-02-2005, 15:51 I have 17 of those listed, whoever wrote it needs to get his ears syringed:loopy:
And as for kerb-stomping 'and out come the wolves' - try it with my copy mate and we'll see who gets kerb-stomped!!(Actually I wouldn't 'cos that's far too mean but he'd get a swift kick to the nads just for suggesting it:D ).

Of course not!
It's a great album- but there are better ones by zep :P
Cutglass 07-02-2005, 17:14 Well I'm not gonna be ashamed to admit it but I got 3 on the list, Nirvana-Nevermind, RHCP's-Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik, (love Give It Away) and No-Doubt-Tragic Kingdom.
Just glad I ain't got any of the others  now that would be a tad embarassing.

Nevertheless, it still doesn't deserve to be on that list.

Yeah I agree totally
The first disk of Physical Graffiti is first class from start to finish.
The second disk has a few tracks that are a bit iffy!
Yodameister 08-02-2005, 07:47 I have 11.
I think whoever wrote that list has a HUGE chip on their shoulder, and thinks that just being popular makes something bad.
mr.blaze 09-02-2005, 03:12 I think the bloke who wrote that list is a complete moron. There are much worse albums than some of those mentioned on that list.
Don_Kiddick 09-02-2005, 17:14 I have an old 12" vinyl LP of Michael Jackson....
There's a picture of a strange black guy on the cover
Haven't listened to my vinyl stuff for years!!!! :o
Damn CD's!
Yodameister 10-02-2005, 11:59 So what do we thinnk should be on this list?
Some fairly disappoitning ones I have had (and sold/given away) are
Radiohead - Pablo Honey
The Verve - A northern Soul
Starsailor - can't remember the name but it had a yellowy cover with some train tracks.
redinsheff 10-02-2005, 13:35 19 for me...
There's a few on there that I don't particularly think should be on...Smashing Pumpkins, Counting Crows, U2...
How about albums that should be added to the list...??
Savage Garden, M People, Busted, Michelle McManus, Gareth Gates....warts on the bottom of the music industry!!!

what about rick wallers debut album ha ha::gag: :gag: :gag: :gag:
redinsheff 10-02-2005, 18:57 absolutely...! another one for the list is Phixx and of course, how could we forget...ONE TRUE VOICE!!!!!
I have a huge collection of cds, vinyl and tape dating back to around 1975, when I began buying music at the age of 14. I am proudest of my original John Coltrane albums. Perhaps 'Loop di Love' by Jonathan King, and the 'Touch Me' album by the musical entertainer/pederast known as Gary Glitter are candidates for removal? Some early Throbbing Gristle material, the "greatest Hits" of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, plus a demo tape by the murderer Charles Manson [given to me by an ex member of a well-known Sheffield band] should also be dumped?
Sorry, I misread the thread. The list is what we should be focusing on. Having looked at it, I can only say that anyone who lists albums by Beefheart, Lou Reed, The Beatles, Zeppelin,Public Enemy and [unbelievably, 'Bitches Brew'] Miles Davis in the top twenty of 'removables' has a very pedestrian taste in music. Of course, taste is subjective, and the writer is entitled to his opinion. However, many of these albums, especially the ones in his top twenty are considered to be iconic. Most critics, for example writers in Q and Mojo magazines, would consider the list to be the work of a misanthropic philistine. What lights his fire?
woo i got 1
pink - missundaztood
jonsastar 11-02-2005, 14:19 I aint sure that there is anything wrong with some of these albums.....
some one some where has got bad taste....
and I dont think its me.
Just counted them- I have 23 of the buggers! The writer must be deaf.
