does anyone know what the extension would be on a users name if they have a email account issued by hallam uni?

e.g. joe.bloggs@<insert hallam uni extension here>

I need to urgently contact someone I know works for them and their old work email is obviously not working as they've left that employer.

That is only partially true: (a) there may be several joe.bloggs, in which case there may be a joe.bloggs1@... joe.bloggs2@... and, more importantly, (b) the examples you give apply only to students not staff, and the OP is asking about someone who works there... If the OP could send me a PM with details about the person, I'll see what I can do...

Again, the OP is asking for the address of someone who works there, not a student... The e-mail address format is not the same... And it can't be guessed because of possible synonyms...

Actually, thinking about it, it's best if the OP search the SHU web pages to try to find the person, or use any contact addresses there to request the details: just giving someone's e-mail address out to a 3rd-party is a possible breach of confidentiality

Thanks for that and you're righht to not hand out the info which is why I only asked for the format of the employee addresses. I am confident that the first/last name of the person I'm trying to contact is going to be unique so I'll try the permutations suggested in other posts.
