I can still remeber the 'bedtime routine' fire prevention one.

Not my favourite (I've got loads) but the one that sticks out most in my memory is 'Spirit of dark and lonely water' - Warning against playing in pit ponds and the like.
The Donald Pleasance voice-over coupled with the hooded figure makes the hairs stick up on the back of my neck even now.

"I'll be baaack!".

Incidentally, you can get a couple of PIF DVDs. The menu system on Vol.1 is awful, put they're all there.

I have found some free Public Information Films that never made it on the dvd
Public Information Films (http://625.uk.com/pifs/) goto play area 1 and play area 2 :P i can't believe they left of the Bedtime routine from the dvd.

As a child I remember a hospital advert specifically targeting those who turn up at A & E with very minor injuries....the guy (Eric Morcambe lookalike) had a cut finger....the ad finishes with a nurse shaking him in the waiting room by the shoulder (he had been waiting that long due to his minor injury he had fallen asleep although as a child I read it/thought he had actually DIED waiting to see a Doctor!! :clap:

With the NHS as it is now he probably had/would!!

I also remember the 'Gas' ad where everyone Chorus's NO when he goes to turn the light on...:hihi:

and the Austin A40 Farina when it rolls due to 'dodgy' bald tyres and the hub cap (not wheel trim in them days:hihi: ) rolls off to the grass verge!!
