I don't take kindly to your remarks:rant: It's not like I complain about anything nor nothin' :suspect: Nice to see you got it right this time anyway :D
I think I shall be able to come unless we believe in Christmas miracles and someone offers me a job and somewhere to live... that is too far to travel to the Wool Baa...
Splendid, splendid. Plenty of time to make mince pies then :D
Have every intention of making it to this one :hihi:

Aargh, it now looks as though I won't make it - a colleague's retirement do has now been moved to that night!
I'll be there - just need to make a start on that cushion now.......

cake woman 16-12-2007, 09:26 Hi,
Am thinking about Thursday 'Xmas evening' at the Wool Baa. A few of us talked about mulled wine, mince pies and the like. Would you like me to bring something along....... thinking especially of you Jill as don't want to cause chaos if bring stuff that not suitable i.e mulled wine .. could bring pre-heated if needed but would prob need to do this with someone else as only have 1 flask (Am assuming most folks would want a glass).

I'll bring a flask of mulled wine too cake woman and a pack of mince pies ;)
Happy for you to bring what you want as long as you are not slinging it over the cashmere yarns! Much as I like it I will give the mulled wine a miss as I never have a drink when I'm driving (just a good girl really). Does this mean I will have less tea to make???????? I have some polystyrene cups - shall I bring those along?

Have been fighting off a cold all week and unfortunately not shook it off. Want to try and get myself better for Crimbo (last cold lasted 4 weeks!) so am going to tuck myself up in bed .... thus missing our do. Am disappointed not to be there - or bring the mulled vino - hope that you all have fun. Look forward to catching up in New year. Will watch Forum for details of next meet.
You may be quite pleased I'm not coming Jill as having had a great run .....yes you guessed it.... have hit a block and dropped a few stitches. Ahhh the joy of knitting ....do 10 rows pull out three!
Merry Christmas all

knitbird 19-12-2007, 21:32 I should be along too.
Plain Talker 19-12-2007, 21:51 I have got some unexpected last minute guests, coming tomorrow night so I can't make it after all.
I'm well dissapointed I'd got a piccy for Jill. (the one I took of her actually sitting down and doing a bit of knitting!)
rosiereyk04 19-12-2007, 22:23 rather coincedently i have just started to look for a new knitting circle to join and have stumpled across this - don't know why i didnt look here earlier.
:( can't make 19th but would like to come to future meets - not too hot on forums so old fashioned face to face was what i'm after! anyone know one with room for a little one?!
I won't be able to come now. My DD has had me up for the last 3 nights as she is suffering from a bad cough/temp. I'm absolutely tired and I'm now coming down with something myself from being so run down. Hope you all have a good time and hope to catch up with you all at the next meet.
Oh, no, there seems to be a lot of colds/diseases about - might be just me and you tonight Jill :hihi:
So how many are coming now?
Lucy-Lastic 20-12-2007, 12:23 Im still coming:D Did you say that you were going to try and get there a bit later Becky?
Im still coming:D Did you say that you were going to try and get there a bit later Becky?
Yes, but I have the mince pies with me now to drop off at the shop when I finish here :D
:gag: Oh no, I've come down with this dreaded flu I've been in bed all week and still there, so I'm not going to make it tonight.
Hope you all have a lovely time, and don't eat too many mince pies
Hope to make it next year. Have a very Merry Christmas to you all :partyhat:
I'm still hoping to make it, although I might be a bit after 7 :-)
And I'm another one with the lurg!! I've spent the last 3 days in bed / on the settee with flu, and was hoping that I'd feel well enough to come along tonight, but I don't... I still feel crap!!
(Not really helped by the projectile vomitting daughter in the early hours of this morning!:gag:)
So - have a fab time tonight. I hope to make it next year!
Merry Christmas everybody:partyhat:
Rachel
I can see I am going to be very merry on Mulled Wine
Does this mean I might get a seat at the table ??????????
BeckyB has dropped off 16 mince pies - could be 2 each :hihi:
Hope you all get better soon and can make it to the next meet.
