Not sure this is available to us lesser retailers in the UK. I certainly haven't been told about it if it is. I will check with Designer Yarns and get back to you.

If it's anywhere near as harsh and abrasive as Kureyon i'll be giving it a miss, I can imagine taking the socks off and finding my feet with no skin left on.

The Dyes are lovely shades but I don't understand why people raved about the yarn, it's awful (IMO).

its a shame we can't get hold of a sample of the yarn to assess it's quality/ scratchiness.

I agree with beans:- the colours are delicious, but if the yarn itself is poor quality/ scratchy/ not durable etc, there's not a lot of point in wasting money on it, really, is there?

Hey beans, I think you've found a market there :o If you saw the state of my feet, they would be very useful :hihi:

Would save a fortune on pedicures if the yarn is that abrasive though?

I don't see why it would scratch as it seems like it's the same fibre mix as most sock yarns, Kureyon's pure wool.

Sorry I think I confused things, I wasn't saying the sock yarn was abrasive, I was saying that if it is the same as Kureyon, as I found the Kureyon Yarn to be very harsh.

I have just bought and received 3 balls of Kureyon sock yarn. I will try to bring it to meetings for you to look at.

Now I've looked at it (thank you Peakwool) and more importantly. felt it, I can say that it's not for me. The colours were lovely though.

as a reflexologist I think I like the idea of this wool and would recommend it to clients who have 'particular' problems LOL;)

I have finished my first set of Kureyon socks (http://www.flickr.com/photos/19810784@N08/3040251553/)- well I finished them a few weeks ago but hadn't got around to photographing them until today. They are based on so simple silk garden (http://crazyknittinglady.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/sosimplesilkgarden.pdf) and I knitted the middle sized socks on 2.75mm needles rather than 3mm ones as I found I hadn't got any 3mm's  The yarn was very knotty on the second sock and I ended up having to junk a lot of yarn as the patterning was very different at the joins. Not sure about the black band, but guess it may make my ankles look slimmer (well you can only hope).
