Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Double Decker buses now run up Sidney Street (opposite the Rutland) and have to wind their way around little back streets. Cars are now diverted around the single track road past Gatecrasher. Two way streets are now one way. Eyre Street is a no go area.

Lots of Road Closed Signs. Lots of One way street signs. I'm aware of two crashes since this was launched on Monday.

Congestion seems worse rather than better. Is this all just down to a few repairs on Eyre Street?

Has anyone else got stuck in all this rerouting? Is this news to you? If so, beware, you could end up driving the wrong way up a one way street as lots of other motorists have been doing since Monday!

I took the bus into work today. Yes, the rerouting was a little strange, (and the bus took 30 minutes to arrive) but it was a little easier than driving in. I might do the same tomorrow, depending on how long the return journey takes

There are people driving the wrong way up one way streets deliberately! Saw one this morning. One driver informed the guy that he was going the wrong way and he replied 'so what?'

A LGV got stuck on the corner by Gatecrasher and held up half a mile of traffic.

The world has gone mad!

Does anyone know what work is being done on the area?
