Does anyone know of a solicitor who'll sort out all the HIP pack as part of their conveyancing fees? I'm looking into selling privately and am trying to minimise cash outlay!

Any advice gratefully received about this or selling privately in general :)

I know someone who has just set up on their own and will provide the full service. PM me for details.

Many thanks :)
I'm investigating doing it all (Hip/conveyancing/selling) online.
If anyone else has gone down this route I'd love to hear from you!

I used Hackett Windle for conveyancing a purchase. Their fees were some £500 less than most and they appeared to do a thorough job.

Thank you very much for that info :) Were you successful in the end without an estate agent?

I haven't quite put the old house on the market yet so time will tell.

I've looked into sales sites. There are several like HouseLadder (http://www.houseladder.co.uk/) that are fairly cheap (about £50 upwards) advertising services that'll send your ad to various websites and do you a For Sale board. They don't advertise on RightMove because RightMove will only accept adverts from estate agents.

For around £400 there are some estate agents operating online who will take photos, put your ad on various web sites (including RightMove) and take bookings. We found HouseSimple (http://www.housesimple.co.uk/more_info.asp?current_id=85) and HouseNetwork (http://housenetwork.co.uk/).

There's also a Sheffield-based outfit called TheHomeGame (http://www.thehomegame.net) .

I appreciate those leads, many thanks.....I'd be interested in how you get on selling privately. I think getting it on Rightmove is a necessity really. Good luck!:)
