Jamie 04-02-2005, 17:04 AFAIK ... it's unlikely (unless it's a very clever DVD player). You need to convert the format to VCD (video CD). http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/articles/dmc_understandingvcddvdformats.aspx HotPhil 04-02-2005, 17:04 Depends on the format used and the ability of your DVD player to cope with it. There are several guides on the net that explain it quite well, a quick read round www.cdfreaks.com may be a good place to start. kirky 04-02-2005, 17:06 cheers..........................................:t humbsup: _Fate_ 04-02-2005, 17:07 yeah you can get dvd players that play .avi's and .mpegs (like mine :D) but most dont support the formats. LesMcQueen 04-02-2005, 17:33 I prefer to do it the long way (tmpegenc + authoring software) but the shortest and easiest way I've found to convert a DivX/Xvid to DVD is to use the snappily titled 'DivXtoDVD' software freely downloadable from http://www.vso-software.fr/ You feed it a DivX/Xvid, and it spits out a DVD file structure (VOBs and IFOs). Takes about an hour for a 1 to 2 hour film. fnkysknky 04-02-2005, 19:06 As stated depends on your player - lots support DivX and other file types now... bellis 04-02-2005, 22:18 ive downloaded it hope it works as when ive tried burning a divx file before the file was over 4.7gb so fingers crossed:thumbsup: Diana Maratty 05-02-2005, 11:49 Originally posted by LesMcQueen I prefer to do it the long way (tmpegenc + authoring software) but the shortest and easiest way I've found to convert a DivX/Xvid to DVD is to use the snappily titled 'DivXtoDVD' software freely downloadable from http://www.vso-software.fr/ You feed it a DivX/Xvid, and it spits out a DVD file structure (VOBs and IFOs).
