It seems the supermarkets are all trying to out do each other on the Christmas booze front again this year.

For anyone who is interested I've just called in Morrisons (Catcliffe) and they have 1 litre bottles of Smirnoff Vodka, Gordons Gin and Bells Whiskey at a tenner each (limit of 6 per customer). Can't be bad. :)

Any other bargains out there? Picked up a bottle of LBV port in Tesco yesterday for half price.

Do Morrisons still call their cheapo own brand vodka "Morrinov?" I love that name

:hihi:

Probably! Isn't their version of 'Martini' called 'Morritini' or something equally silly? :D

To be honest, the 8 year old Whisky at Aldi isn't too bad, especially for £8.99. The el-cheapo standard stuff is like drain cleaner though.

Tesco are doing various litre bottles such as Gordon's and Bell's at 2 for 20 quid.
