its £2.70 for a day rider.... you can use it for a day, and go back and forth as many times as you like, £9.50 for a weekly ticket. and i think a single is between £1.10 to £1.60 depending on the journey, but if you're doing a return you might as well get the dayrider.

Sorry, mscgirl. I now see your problem. bkcin is guiding you to the same page by a different route, yet on that page, there is no "Sheffield" in the drop-down list of cities.
Both SU & SHU are in the 'University' drop-down, though.
Is it a fault of the website?
Try registering and going further.
..or I suggest that you give Customer Service a call in the morning to talk you through the procedure.
Will do... thanks :)
Its almost like they don't want my money!! :loopy:

You can definitely buy the unirider online as ive seen loads this last week, dont know how you do it though as never had the need to.
The £1.10 single fare is a central zone single which basically covers the city centre and can be bought anywhere between university of sheffield and hyde park or granville rd.
The cheapest single fare is £1.30 which covers between 1 and 2 fare zones, so even just travelling a couple of stops would cost this. From hillsborough £1.30 would get you as far as university of sheffield.
The next fare up is £1.60 which covers as far as 3 zones. From hillsborough £1.60 would get you as far as hyde park or granville rd.
Four or more zones cost £2.00.
The only returns that are offered are child returns or event returns with prior consent from the control room.
A dayrider is £2.70 and you can use it as many times as you want in the day.
A megarider is £9.50 and lasts for the week.
There is also a monthly megarider available from the pte office i think it costs £35.00
The dayriders and megariders can be purchased or used on any tram, supertram link bus or stagecoach sheffield bus. The only dayriders and megariders that cannot be used on any bus or tram are the route specific ones such as the 52 and 120 dayriders and megariders.
