I managed to accummulate just over 4,000 grains of rice before I got bored. I doubt that'll make much of a meal for anyone though :(

Did you notice Waltheof, that some words kept cropping up again? Also I was surprised how many of the more unusual ones I managed to guess just from looking at the syllables and knowing the root ... not exactly cheating ;)

maybe I didn't get as far as you to see the same words recurring, but certainly some knowledge of Latin and Greek roots was a great help. Also some are imprecise, e.g. both pergola and espalier were defined as trellis but they are very different.

Vocab level 45, 980 grains donated, then i got bored and turned it off...

Managed 3000 grains on the first day of playing (yes, i was hooked!)... couldn't get above vocab level 40 though. I kept fluctuating between 37 and 40. :(

Can anyone get higher than that? I can't seem to, so I'm wondering if that's the top level (cos I really am that smart, lol) or if that's just my level...

Since it was first posted, I've been going on nearly every day and just doing 1000 grains ... where does it tell you your level? Not noticed that. The same words come round over and again though, so if you didn't know it at the start, you do by the end!
