What a great shame , ive had many a good quality wallpaper at a cheap price from here.
It closes in january and most things are half price.
I got some very heavyweight textured vinyl for 3 quid a roll.
The price on the roll was 5.99 but in other shops this stuff is more near ten pound.
Also lots of other stuff well reduced.Paint etc Beds all sorts.
Anyone else use this shop and will be sad to see it go, anyone know who will be taking the building over.

Not always the case, the two lads i talked to the other day in there were very helpful.
Ive had a lot worse service at B and Q. Sorry my shift keys arent working.

I am utterly obsessive about getting good bargains, and swear by netto, aldi, lidl, wilkinsons, home bargains, but i c an honestly say this place has never had anything wjhich i'd consider. I'm, amazed its lasted the years it has.

As predicted...hubby is gutted.:hihi:

Is it really closing? Or is it going to be refurbished and re-open as a Focus?

I walked past the place for years without realising it was even open for business! It's always had a sort of closed-down air about it from the outside, maybe that's why it's closing. Not much surprise if so.

I finally realised it was open for business earlier this year and went round on a Saturday afternoon. There were about ten people in the entire place including staff. It had the most depressing ambience I've ever encountered in a big store. I must admit most of the stock I didn't like at all, except for the plant pots, of which I bought many. To be fair by that point I'd already stocked up on most of my hardware and decorating needs.

I hope it does reopen in a happier guise, with lovelier things.

I hope not seeing as Focus are closing branches right, left, and centre, all over the Country

Its got to be one of the worst shops ever, I'm just surprised it has kept going so long, There can only be so many chavs that want wallpaper for £ 1 a roll and hideous chipboard furniture. . . . Good riddance !

Two of our bargains included solid bamboo floor boards and oak floor tiles.
Not a roll of wallpaper in sight.:D

That's a shame. It's not a fancy shop but then a lot of other places are all style over substance and I've found some top bargains in there, you just needed to be canny and prepared to look round properly. Garden gravel for a third of the price it is in B&Q for example. Very cheap containers. Fab garden statues. Some top quality and unusual shrubs and plants for a fraction of the usual price. Coldframes very cheap. All kinds of stuff - only went in B&Q after going in there first ;)

Whenever I've been in there most of the staff appeared to have 'learning difficulties' and I am being really kind with that description.

I went in there not too long ago looking for table cloths,i couldn't find any at first & so i decided to ask a member of staff, the nearest bloke was a stones throw away a small, skinny distinctive looking geezer so i asked him do they have any table cloths in store so he replied is it for a table

Getting the same named wallpaper , for more than half the price of the other stores is nothing to do with being a chav, its just using your common sense.
You dont stereotype people just because they look for bargains.
Havent you ever come across anything that was exactly the same, but the price differed greatly,if so then which one would you choose, if the more expensive one then more fool you.

earlier this year it was reported in the Telegraph that CCC was going to be moving into the No Frills store once their lease ran out. Dunno if that's still going ahead?

You really couldn't make it up could you? Of course the worrying part is that people like this are actually allowed out on their own and can use cutlery wthout being supervised by a responsible adult. :shakes::sad:

The only thing I ever bought from No frills was one of them one million watt rechargeable spotlights.
24 hours to charge it, and 3 minutes before the battery went flat!
Found mi way to the loo on a campsite OK...got lost on the way back!
Binned it!

If the rumour about CCC moving in is true, I don't see the point. Neither location has adequate parking arrangements.A bit like Towsure really, another shop that really should have relocated after the flood damage closure.
