View Full Version : Insertion piercings-help!
poimaster 03-02-2005, 12:07 I am looking for somewhere in sheffield (or within the region)that will do insertion piercings. These are specialist piercings that can only be done (legally) by a few people in the country. I had heard that there is someone in Hillsborough who is licenced but i cant track him down.....please help!
HoneyGirl 03-02-2005, 12:14 I don't know whether this would help but I had my belly button pierced at feline tattoos just off eccy road and they were very helpful and seemed experienced ... maybe worth giving them a call and sure they'd advise. Good luck!
poimaster 03-02-2005, 12:23 Jane is fantastic at what she does but insertions aren't her thing. I did ask if she knew of anyone who might be able to help but she didnt know of anyone.
Cheers 4 the tip anyway Honey.
RoyalRegular 03-02-2005, 12:28 What is an "insertion" peircing exactly?
HoneyGirl 03-02-2005, 12:32 No probs sorry couldn't help further ... yeah she is great would recommend her :P
Try Van Shaiks at the bottom of Wadsley Lane in Hillsborough... they seem to do most things.
poimaster 03-02-2005, 12:43 an insertion piercing is classified as "extreme body modification" and they go under the skin rather than through it. I hope to be able to get three 5millimeter ball bearings one or two centimeters apart under the skin on my right fore-arm, making a kind of "wave" pattern.
They are done by making an incission in the skin and then separation the sub-dermal layers to make a kind of pocket in which the ball is placed and held in place with a stich.
I know its gonna be REALLY painful as piercers cant give any kind of anestetic. As its gonna hurt so much i wanna find someone who knows what they are doing to minimise the pain as much as possible.

But why?? Am I missing something here?
Surely that should be "extreme body mutilation".
I know someone local who has has a similar thng done. I'll try and find him tomorrow and ask where he went - I think it was Hillsborough though so definitely try feargals link :

FairyNormal 03-02-2005, 22:16 I once new a guy who had several ball bearings inserted under his f**eskin! Looked amazing!

I met a guy in London who had ball bearings under his skin the length of his (tries to think of polite word) dick, aparantly the ladies like it.
Definately the one on Wadsley lane, get Greg to to it. They do stuff like that, scarification, implants and body modification. Had my tongue pierced there. Top blokes! Great tattooists too :)
Kristian 04-02-2005, 10:50 Each to their own, but why would anyone want to have anything like this done? :loopy
I heard a couple of years ago that the latest thing was to have the top of the ear, or the tip of the little finger amputated and put in a bottle which could be worn around the neck? :loopy:
Am I just getting old, or is this dead wierd?

I did have an ear pierced years ago when I was younger, but nothing else ever appealed. I've not worn an earring for years now, apart from fancy dress!

I can see why someone might want this doing, but I'm far too squeamish! :gag: What if it had gone wrong, and his bits were damaged? I think too highly of mine to tamper with it!

30 years ago they probably would have shot him thinking he WAS a tiger as for the lizard man HE would have been locked up, who's ever seen a lizard that big and with a wife too!! :)
Van Sheiks at Hillsborough def do it. A friend of mine had small stud spikes put on the top three veterbrae in his neck about June last year there. He also does tongue splitting and amputations of certain body parts e.g little fingers, hence the main guys nickname "amputation Andy". I had my first tattoo done there about 4 years ago. It's a very nice studio. Hope all goes well with whatever your getting done. Also, you would have to book in advance, I think they have to arrange for a nurse to be there unless the one of them that is the qualified doctor or nurse or something is free (can't remember who)

Please tell me that you are joking!!!!!!
People can't just set up shop and start amputating surely. I thought these places had to be licensed.
MuteWitness 04-02-2005, 13:48 i read about a guy who had the first inch of his dick cut down the middle, there was pictures aswell, am sure if you search you might find it

That was fairly popular in the 70's, when you get excitied the end fans-out and gives the other person more stimulation.
Some people had it split in two down as much as 4 inches.
I think it was called a "peacock" or something.

I'm so with you on this one Mo! The thought horrifies me! :gag: And can you imagine the impracticalities of having spikes coming out of the back of your neck? How many times a day would you catch them on something when dressing, or drying yourself after a shower etc.

Have you actually seen this done Nick? A 4in split? :gag: Surely this isn't possible, how would you get the skin to grow in the wound?

I have seen pictures of it, it's not nice, but it does heal.
There is a tribe in Africa (I think) that does some similar modifications as part of the "coming of age" ritual, one where they slice all the way down the euretha and another where they put a bar through the end (you have to have a hard-on for this to be done properly) after making the hole with a sharpened stick.
Nice.

I wonder if I could be turned into a giraffe... <ponder> I'd need height implants, or at least stiletto boots :P :hihi:
It's a good job there are as many psychiatrists as tattooists!

I don't think you can cure wanting to be different, at least I hope not.
Probably the best place in the country to ask...
Wildcat Collection
6 Gardner St, Brighton, BN1 1UP
Tel: 01273 323758
Chances are they'd do it, or supply the people in this country who can.
**edit
just seen the post about the place in Hillsborough, if you're wanting impartial advice on any non-standard body modding, surface piercings, Wildcat are the dudes.
If they knew what questions to ask someone who wanted a guiche (if you don't know, please don't ask) then they know their needles!
Wildcat are not piercers, they just manufacture and sell jewellery. If you want advice, go to www.bmezine.com (not for the squeamish, so dont go clicking it and coming back complaining about the contenet there, you have been warned). As for there only being a few people in the country legally allowed to do implants, there are none. Implantation is illegal in this country unless performed by a qualified surgeon. So is cutting, branding, and other forms of scarification. Thats why its so difficult to get someone to do it, because if they just worked on anyone, it wouldnt be long till they were in jail on ABH charges.

Oh sorry, did they used to be?
A friend of mine either had his guiche done with them, or through a studio that was (around 3 years ago) attached to their shop. I know that coz he was moaning about how long it took to find his BCR from their stock room!
Either way, the emphasis was on the fact that it was impressive that they knew EXACTLY what they were talking about, if you're unsure about anything that is, at the end of the day, a surgical procedure, it's good to have someone you can ask that people in the trade trust, eh?
SaxonLeigh 07-02-2005, 15:56 i know that the lizzard man is a surgon & is a very intelegent bloke who has a two phd's, i read about him in the paper a couple of years ago & had the newspaper artical stuck to my bedroom wall for a bit. i am a piercer myself & people like that intreuge me.
