All you need is to be able to connect ur tape player/deck to the "Line In" of your computer. After that you can use the "Sound Recorder" that comes with windows to record the songs (you will need to convert the resulting wav file to mp3, i think winamp does it) or jut google arond for something else.
You can also download a tryout of some sound edeting software, that also lets you record from line in and also saves files straight to mp3 (I use to have CoolEdit that worked really good, also Nero comes with a good souns editor). All you so after that is play the song on your player/deck and record it on your computer.
I hope this helps or at least points you in the right direction.

or you could just download the songs from somewhere because converting tapes is just a bad idea... tapes are poor quality thats why they got replaced with CD's ;)

if you was wanting to record LP's I could understand, because LP's rock! :D but tapes?? pah... you'd get better quality from a 128kb MP3 from Kazaa :P (btw, dont use KaZaa, its full of crap and porn and fake files!)

much as i can see your sentiments xafier, the sad fact is that this particular album only ever came out on tape and as far as i can tell with much research (too much!) it does not acually exist in wav or mp3 :(

http://www.cmm.org.uk/products/catalogue/navigation.php

they appear to have the backing CD and a real CD, as well as a video and vocal score etc...

£12.99 for the CD... drop them an email and see if its a real CD and not some con copy?

I think your problem in finding it lies in the fact its Christian music of some sort... not something most people share if they have it ;) lol

I have converted to cd,wav,mp3 loads and loads of prescious things for people. But it takes so much time and effort that I seriously wouldn't do anything which was commercially available for less than £15.

Life is too short and my free time is more valuable than that.
