No I'm not being rude :hihi: after we have been given our lovely new doors there is now a spate of theft where the brass knockers are taken but only the actual handle part as the main body of the knocker is bolted on the inside, mine was taken tuesday.... I looked down the road and loads of others were gone too.
I'm guessing its kids but it seems really quite widespread on the estate so God knows :hihi:
I was told by sanctuary that I have to report it and get a crime number before I can have a new one.... omg report I have had half a knocker stolen, they will laugh me out of the police station :rolleyes:

Yes maybe so if most of the estates knockers are taken it adds up to a fair bit of metal.... well I feel i've seen it all now, can't imagine that they will keep on replacing them just to be stolen again so I am thinking that I am doomed to remain knockerless for the near and distant future!

got to agree with mr mist.

first it was lead thefts at shiregreen and now knockers- someones making a quite a bit of money at the expense of the sanctuary- but the real losers out of this situation are the tenants!

if the police know about it, the more they have to work with to actually do something about it.

we have had our door knocker nicked now despite having cctv on house got a good picture of them so hopefully we will cach them they only look like kids about 8 yrs old

they`ll knick out these days!!!!
