I have a room 18ft x12ft with an apex ceiling up to 12`. The ceiling is just plain brown wood but the walls are painted white.
I need the room to be very brightly lit so it is presently use
4 x 6ft flourescent tubes of 75watts each.
Can anyone suggest a cheaper more efficient and environmentally friendly way of lighting this room to the same brightness.

sorry forgot to mention that there is only 1 north facing window in this room that doesn`t allow much light in being as it`s next to a neighbours Lleylandii hedge !

Paint the ceiling white.

Flourescent tubes are very efficient.
