Is it very frightening? The trailers spooked me. I was gonna see it on Friday night, but UGC was RAMMED with folk about eight pm, so went for beers instead!

I went to see Creep last night.

I sincerely wish I hadn't. It was scary to the point that it wasn't enjoyable; I just wanted to go home! :help:

I spent most of the film with my t-shirt pulled up over my nose, jumping out of my skin, and peering at the screen through my fingers. Peter found this very entertaining!

I saw the film Saw last week, and found that frightening, but Creep is something else!

If you like being sh*t scared, you'll love this!

Agreed, absolutely garbage.

It's just another film cashing in on the current trend.

Watching The Tweenies scares me more than formulaic nonsense like this! The film suffers from Jeeper's Creepers syndrone, whereby the first 20 minutes look promising, but then the script dies, the tension drops, and instead we are just given yet another film that relies on jumps and music to try to tell you to be scared! That's not scares...scares are when you spend 5-10 minutes with a true shiver down your spine, and that unnerving feeling. In recent years only the horrors from the far east have tapped into that sense of the unknown.

Creep = Crap (in my humble opinion).

Can't say I was impressed and I normally love horror. It was unnecessarily gory at times, the plot was weak after the first 20 mins ish, there was no firm grasp of the facts and I felt overall it was a poor quality effort.
A few places were a little weak with human response factors, SPOILER ALERT... stop reading now...... why didn't the german woman and black fella push the creep into the waterlogged cages and lock him in? Why was the bloke stood in front of the window he just smashed and how predictable was it???
IMO Britain does not excel in film, I have no idea what the major differences are which make some films better than others, regardless of plot or actors. However, our made for TV dramas are much better than the American ones.
I'm not a fan of foreign cinema so I cannot comment on other countries contributions.

Ha ha! There are plenty of great british films, it's just they aren't likey to be shown at your local odeon or ugc.

Usually, succesful british films end up being utter 5hit ie full monty, 4 weddings and a funeral, lock stock and 2 smoking barrels etc

.*

she had about 3 chances of finishing him off!!

also, when he cut that fellas insides out, (the tube station security manager) he threw some of his insides down some well/pit thing as if to feed something - what was that all about?!!?

I take it that there was more than one creature thingy? (although there was only one piccie of creature as a 'toddler' with 'daddy')

Cuz 'Craig' was chained up...

Yep, there were loads of chances to deal with him. Efen when terrified I'm sure anyone would look for all opportunities to make themselves safe.
I agree, I don't feel the story was well explained at all and the mysterious 'other' thing - who knows.
I can only assume there was a lot more of it on the editing room floor.
And for goodness sake - what was with all the squirty pumps in his neck? Bah!

Seroiously, it did really frighten me.

It doesn't make it any better that Peter keeps making the noise that Craig made just to frighten me for his own amusement! It makes me shiver!!
